Newark is a city in New Castle County, Delaware, United States. It is home to the University of Delaware. The city has a humid subtropical climate. It is located 12 miles (19 km) west-southwest of Wilmington. The area is served by Interstate 95 and Newark Metro Station. It has a population of 31,454. The total area is 9.19 square miles (23.76 km2).


The Delaware Technology Park at 1 Innovation Way is located near the intersection of I-95 and Route 896, midway between Philadelphia and Baltimore. It is also close to the Amtrak and regional rail stations in Newark.
