Unlocking Creativity: Empowering Students to Make a Positive Impact

Creative Learning Academy

Creative learning is a form of positive education that enables students to make generative social contributions to their own and others’ lives. It requires a teaching approach that combines an understanding of pedagogical creativity enhancement knowledge (PCeK) with well-designed lessons to encourage students’ adapted creative attitudes and beliefs about learning.

Our children benefit from a full-time schedule that promotes their development and provides rich socialization with peers. This allows them to focus on developing their academic skills while being exposed to a variety of activities.

A creative learning environment stimulates imagination, innovation and helps learners cope with problems when they don’t know the answer. Instead of asking “how can I make this easier,” learners ask “how could I get to the bottom of this?” They start by analyzing alternatives from different perspectives.

Students will explore how movements for economic, racial, environmental and restorative justice and initiatives to transform violent conflict have incorporated the arts and cultural work, both in the United States and globally. They will also consider the ways that artists, cultural workers and other change agents support communities to cultivate, restore and strengthen the capacities required to live creatively, sustainably and non-violently. Our curriculum also encourages learners to develop strong social-emotional skills in order to be effective problem-solvers and to self-organize their own perspectives, feelings and needs.

Creative learning is a way of thinking that removes constraints and stimulates problem-solving. It allows learners to look at a situation from different perspectives, and it’s a great tool for helping them to anticipate difficulties that could arise during the training or workplace education process.
